The Year of the Rabbit 2023 1 Oz silver coin is the fourth coin in the Lunar Series III from the Australian Perth Mint. The coin is minted from 1 ounce of 99.99% pure silver and celebrates the Year of the Rabbit. The coin features two rabbits. The reverse of the coin features the Chinese character for "rabbit" and the inscription "RABBIT 2023", as well as the Perth Mint's "P125" mark, marking the 125th anniversary of the mint. The 1 Oz coin features a special security feature in the form of a microlaser-engraved letter that is visible only under a magnifying glass, making it significantly more difficult to counterfeit the coin. The coin is minted in a limited edition of 300,000 pieces.
The reverse of the coin depicts a commemorative portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark with the dates of her reign "ELIZABETH II 1952-2022", the denomination "1 DOLLAR", the weight and fineness "1oz 9999 Ag" and the country of origin "AUSTRALIA".
