Investment gold is one of the most stable stores of value in human history. Unlike paper currencies it is not eroded by inflation, does not depend on central-bank decisions and preserves its purchasing power over the long term in times of economic uncertainty. Precious metals act as insurance against the devaluation of savings and do not rely on the functioning of the financial system.
At GoldenHouse we offer exclusively investment gold of the highest fineness from world-renowned producers — Argor-Heraeus, Heimerle+Meule, PAMP Suisse, Münze Österreich and others. Every bar and coin comes with a certificate of authenticity and a guaranteed fineness of 999.9/1000.
Investment gold bars usually carry a lower premium over the gold price than coins and suit investors who want to maximise the price-to-weight ratio. Investment coins are more flexible — thanks to smaller weight variants (1 g, 5 g, 1 oz) they are easy to sell off in parts.
We recommend starting with smaller units (1–10 g) for a flexible portfolio. Larger bars (50 g, 100 g, 1 kg) offer a lower premium but are less flexible to sell.
Investment gold is exempt from VAT in the Czech Republic. When held long term (over 3 years) the gain on sale is additionally exempt from income tax. You will find more information in the Frequently asked questions section.
You will find more about the buy-back process and current buy-back prices in the Precious-metal buy-back section.
We are introducing our new website — celebrate the third anniversary of Golden House with us.
To mark the occasion we have prepared a competition for three investment gold bars:
Entry is free. Your purchases and Gold Savings earn you extra competition points and increase your chance of winning.
The competition runs until 30 September 2026. The full rules are available on the competition page.
